Amtech Systems Appoints Guy Shechter as Chief Executive Officer; Bob Daigle Transitions to Executive Chairman
TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Amtech Systems, Inc. ("Amtech") (NASDAQ: ASYS), a manufacturer of equipment and consumables enabling AI semiconductor device packaging and advanced substrate fabrication, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Guy Shechter as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 13, 2026. Mr. Shechter also has been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors. Concurrently, Bob Daigle, who has served on the Company’s board since 2021, as Non-Executive Chairman since 2022 and Chief Executive Officer since 2023, will transition to the newly created role of Executive Chairman of the Board.
With the appointments announced today, Amtech’s Board of Directors now consists of six members, four of whom are independent under Nasdaq listing standards, reinforcing the Company's commitment to best practices in corporate governance and independent oversight.

Guy Shechter joined Amtech in May 2026 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Amtech, he held leadership positions at Yield Engineering Systems from 2021 to 2026, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and General Manager. Before that, he held various leadership roles at Veeco Instruments from 2007 to 2020, including Vice President and General Manager, Global Services Solutions. Mr. Shechter holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
