Amtech Systems Announces $1.9 Million New Solar Order

TEMPE, Ariz., May 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amtech Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASYS), a global supplier of production and automation systems and related supplies for the manufacture of semiconductors, solar cells and wafers, today announced a new order totaling approximately $1.9 million for thermal processing and automation systems from the solar cell industry. For the fiscal 2007 year to date, Amtech has received approximately $5.8 million of solar orders, including this most recent order.

The order is a follow-on order from an Asian-based customer and is expected to ship in the fiscal quarter ending September 30, 2007.
