Amtech Systems Announces $4.9 Million Follow-On Solar Order

TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Amtech Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASYS), a global supplier of production and automation systems and related supplies for the manufacture of semiconductors, solar cells and wafers, today announced the company has received a $4.9 million follow-on solar order for diffusion processing systems from the solar cell industry. This follow-on order of $4.9 million is from a recent new customer based in Asia and is in addition to the $4.4 million in solar orders Amtech announced on July 11, 2007.

For its fiscal 2007 year-to-date, Amtech has received approximately $19.0 million of solar orders, including this most recent order. Amtech expects the $4.9 million order to ship in fiscal 2008.
